Really Big Fan

Camden County Emergency Services demonstrated a new Mobile Ventilation Unit today. The unit – essentially a huge fan – is the first of its kind on the east coast, and can create winds of up to 75 miles per hour to rapidly clear smokes and gases from hazardous areas. Shot for the Courier Post.

Below, smoke generated for the demonstration billows out of an abandoned building and over a Westmont Fire Co. vehicle.

Seen through the window of an abandoned building, the Camden County Office of Emergency Management’s new Mobile Ventilation Unit sits on the back of a truck before a demonstration Wednesday.
