9/11 Memorial Dedication

Gloucester County College accepts a piece of steel from the World Trade Center to set up a memorial on their campus. Not the easiest shoot due to harsh frontal lighting and an overabundance of press for a relatively small event. I try to avoid fighting with anyone for space to shoot though, because that means we’re all going to make the same shot.

Gloucester County Firefighter Jonothan Urso (left), of the 9/11 Memorial Trucks organization, listens during an acceptance ceremony at Gloucester County College for a piece of steel from the World Trade Center Tuesday, August 14th, 2012. The Port Authority donated the steel for the creation of a memorial at the college, which houses a a training program for firefighters. Urso, who responded to the September 2001 attacks, worked at a staging area at Giants Stadium as the tragedy unfolded.
