Rafi Letzter is a photographer based just outside of Chicago, Illinois. He is a sophomore journalism student at Northwestern University, whose work has appeared in The Daily Northwestern, Northwestern Magazine, The Courier-Post,NBCNews.com, and Newsday. In addition to his photojournalism, he reports for The Daily Northwestern and shoots theater.
He has served as photography editor of The Daily Northwestern, maintains an ongoing internship at Northwestern Magazine and has interned at The Courier-Post of Southern New Jersey.
Prior to his time at Northwestern, he lived for several months in Jerusalem, where he volunteered on ambulances with the emergency medical corps serving Jerusalem and the West Bank. He has experience in crisis response, triage training, and speaks English, Hebrew and some Arabic.
His work for The Daily Northwestern has been recognized twice by the Illinois College Press Association. Once as part of a team (1st Place In-Depth Reporting), and once individually (3rd Place Feature Photography).
